House of Children was established in May 1983 by Mrs. Chander Grover, wife of Late Major Harnam Grover. First of its kind, the institution was established with the sole objective of homogenous educational development of children. With the vision and objective of building a Rural India, Late Major Harnam Grover conceived the idea of opening up a private educational institution for the development of hilly, remote & backward area. He chose Billawar (J&K), undeveloped & remote area near Jammu City, for establishment of the institution.
