Narain College, Shikohabad was
established in 1956 by a group of
patriotic and enlightened citizens of
Shikohabad primarily with the
donations made by a Socially
concerned lady Smt. Lalita Devi. Not
only Shikohabad but even the
adjoining Firozabad Town did not have
institutions of higher learning for all
sections of the public in the time
when the college was established. The
underlying principle of the institution
since their inception had been to
cultivate the nationalist and humanist
spirit thus rising above the narrow
sectarian casteist or communal
approaches. The College
has been the sacred nature of the
objectives before the institution that
the founding members of the college
named after the almighty Narain
which symbolizes the supreme,
highest and absolute state of human
self potentials, possibilities and
achievements as a part of our
universe. The College is affiliated to
Dr. B.R.Ambedkar University, Agra
and ranked B+ by NAAC (UGC).
