How to go to a state/district/city directly?
Click on “Select Location” link on left hand side, just below header. You can go to any State/District/city directly by clicking on “GO button.”
When you click on “Select Location”, “Add City” button appears on the extreme left. You can add your city by clicking on that link. Newly added city will go through approval processes before it is available in the website.
Once you log in, you can click on “Deactivate Account” link. This will take you to a screen where you can de-activate your account.
How to block receipt of mail from IndiaOnAPage?
In each and every mail you receive from IndiaOnAPage, there is a link at the bottom of the mail to block receipt of mail. Once you opt for blocking of mail, you will not receive any mail from IndiaOnAPage.
Click on “Add New Item” button at the bottom of any list page to add items. To go to any list page you may need to select type (e.g.: House keeping) and subtype (e.g.: cook) from the menu bar on the top. Alternatively you may click on the blue round buttons in the flash to go to any list page directly.
How to go to your state/district/city?
This can be done from either of the options mentioned below.
1. “Select Location” option on left hand side, just below header of any page.
2. Interactive flash in the center of page.
3. “More cities” option on bottom right hand side of the home page.
How to browse item for your State/District/City?
Once you reach home page for your State/District/city, Click on type (e.g.: House keeping) and subtype (e.g.: cook) from the menu bar on the top to browse items. Alternatively you may click on the blue round buttons in the flash to go to any list page
What is significance of site map?
Sitemap tells your current location. E.g.: If you are in State Karnataka, it will show
Home -> India -> Karnataka.
You must be logged in to delete your item.
After you log in, go to “My Items” on the right hand side.
Click on the “Edit” button for item you want to edit. This change will be reflected immediately, and your item will be marked as “WAITING APPROVAL” since it will again go through approval process.
How to edit other people�s item?
Click on edit section for any item to edit other people�s item. In this case, changes will be reflected only when Admin approves it.
You must be logged in to delete your item.
After you log in, go to “My Items” on the right hand side.
Click on the “Delete” button for item you want to delete.

A new window pops up. Edit your profile here and click on “Update”

How can I refer a posting to my friend?
If you want to refer a posting to your friend, go to details page for any item. Click on “Email to friend” option. Fill your email id, and also your friend�s email id. You may also put some message if you want. Click on “OK” button, once you are done.
What is the significance of Blue Round button in the flash?
You can directly browse any item for your current page using blue round buttons in flash.
Go to details page for an item. Add comment for a given item in the comment box and click on add comment. Please note that you must be logged in to add comment.
How authentic is information on the site?
All items added in IndiaOnAPage go through an approval process to filter out fake postings. Also “Report abuse” option allows user to clean fake data too. But since these postings are entered by users it is not possible to claim for authenticity of the information.
Admin might have found your item to be in appropriate or offensive. So it is blocked.
If you feel that it should not have been blocked, click here with details of your item.
